The 27th IPMA International Project Management Association) World Congress, under the title ‘Finding Balance and Moving Forward’ was held from 30 September to 03 October 2013 in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in the Valamar Resort Babin Kuk. The IPMA World Congress has been the worldwide leading conference on project management for several decades, bringing together business professionals, practitioners, managers and representatives of global companies, leading scientists, educators, professors and students as well as participants from various sectors and occupations, NGOs and the media. The congress was organized by IPMA, a Federation of over 55 Member Associations and the World’s first project management association, founded in 1965, and the Croatian Association for Project Management (CAPM) along with the Civil Engineering Faculty of the University of Zagreb, the International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC) and the ‘Baltazar Adam Krčelić’ College of Business and Management as co-organizers.
Patrick Wirz, who leads the ESEFA (Enterprise Systems Education for Africa) project at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, seized the opportunity to network with various participants and speakers, exchanging experiences and information about developments, trends and changes in the field of international education projects.
