In cooperation with the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, the IT global player Fujitsu takes up new challenges concerning new, high-performance computer technologies. On 10th October 2013, Benno Zollner (CIO Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH (Fujitsu TS)) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski, head of the chair for Business Informatics, will solemnly introduce a new research project. Even Prof. Dr. Jens Strackeljan, principal of the University, and Prof. Dr. Gunter Sake, faculty director of the faculty of computer science, will be present when the specific challenges of this new project will be revealed.
In the course of this project, the team of the Magdeburg Research and Competence Cluster for Very Large Business Applications (MRCC) will investigate the efficient operation of so-called In-Memory databases in heterogenous system landscapes.
