Jan Oetjen (born 1972) studied Business Administration and Business Sciences at the Universities in Oldenburg and in Baltimore, USA. After graduation in 1998, he worked as a Consultant and Project Manager in the field of E-Commerce at the Otto Group. In the year 2001, he started working in the field of Corporate and Business Development of Travelocity Europe. Being the director of Travelocity France from 2004 to 2005, Jan Oetjen was responsible for the sites in Paris and Nizza. In 2005, he assumed the leadership of the travelchannel group in Germany. Since 2008, he has been a board member of the 1&1 Internet AG.
Jan Oetjen is concerned with research issues in the fields of internet value creation chains and business models.
