With highly interconnected applications, big data, and cloud computing, the thorough planning and engineering of the corresponding information systems’ landscapes and architectures is more important than ever. In many cases, the lifecycle of a system does not end with the delivery of a final solution, instead, the subsequent operation, monitoring, and maintenance have turned into an essential part. At this point, sophisticated paradigms and methods are required that facilitate the continuous development and operation of those system, while preventing failures, outages, and other issues at the same time.

Therefore, we are glad to announce that we have created an additional cloud lectures: In the upcoming winter semester, the lecture “Cloud DevOps techniques” for bachelor students, and “VLBA - Cloud DevOps techniques” for master students will be offered. Both provide the fundamentals as well as hands-on experience with the Development and Operations (DevOps) of systems in connection with dedicated cloud technologies. Apart from the theoretical foundation, essential concepts and technologies are discussed and applied that allow the continuous integration, delivery, and testing of related systems. Students that are eager to develop new skills while applying those at the same time on practical challenges are cordially invited to participate in these new courses.
